 About Us SuVon Treece, born in 1982, always had a natural talent for the arts. As a child she was never without paper and pencil and her love for the arts grew more and more as the years progressed. During her sophmore year of high school, SuVon was accepted into the Detroit High School of the Fine and Perfoming Arts where she majored in visual arts. There, SuVon continued to develop her fine art skills, learning basic design fundamentals and developing her own personal style.
After high school, SuVon attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she received a BFA with a concentration in graphic design. While in college, SuVon's focus was in graphic design but she never abandoned her love for fine arts. She took a number of drawing classes to continue to bring her art skills to a higher level. She was also able to study the work of many great artists from different art periods and various countries. During her last semester of college SuVon worked for ClearChannel Radio as a graphic design/art specialist intern for both WJLB-FM 98 and WMXD-FM 92.3. Around the same time, she also worked for the Detroit Empowerment Zone teaching art classes to inner city youth. After graduating, SuVon held the position of Art Director for Metro Exposure Magazine where her responsibilities included supervising and layout of the entire 88-page magazine, including cover layout and ad creation. Currently, SuVon is the Vice President of CompuArt Design, which is a graphic design agency located in metropolitan Detroit. Some of the services CompuArt offers are corporate identity systems, marketing packages, direct mailers, annual reports, newsletters and websites. "Graphic design is something I truly enjoy." SuVon says. "I feel that being a fine artist really benefits me as a designer and I love to incorporate the two art forms whenever a project permits that type of creativity." While SuVon has always done freelance fine art work, she and her sister Siana finally fulfilled a long term dream of theirs to have a collaborative art show featuring their work on August 23, 2008. After the success of their show, SuVon and Siana decided to develop Artistic Expressions Gallery to display their work, as well as the work of fellow colleagues who share the same passion for the arts!
